Dead River Beach, Cobram VIC

Another long weekend at Dead River beach, Cobram although cut short by thousands of cockatoos we left lunch time on the Sunday (Monday PH) to give us enough time to clean the van and car. We were warned by a fellow camper before we set up when he said “few cockatoos around here” pointing up into the tress above where we placed the van under. Lessons learned !!! “look above before setting up camp” and “listen to wise advice from fellow campers”

Arrived home Sunday afternoon, spent the afternoon trying to high pressure wash off the poo and ended up buying a foaming unit for the washer on the Monday morning to foam the van, all in all around 5 hours cleaning car (part done) van and dog, took the dog for a bath as well

A walk around the park and river followed by a few drinks with the people behind us.

Day 4 Morgan to Whyalla
On the way out of the park grabbed a coffee from a little trailer which is parked out the front selling coffee, donuts and ice creams would do a roaring trade there now given the temps. Stop ay Burra Made our way to Whyalla stopping off at Aldi to get some highly recommended “Belgium woffles” from the guy we befriended last night, Arrived without a booking and managed to get a powered site again (luck has been on our side) as we intended to “free camp” along the way but the weather was too hot.
